Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
12 team standard scoring, I get the 5th pick.
Every mock I have done (don't ask me why) has been the top or bottom of the draft, not the middle....
Williams, AP, MJD, Turner, Forte is who I want right?
Calvin Johnson next?
Ryan Grant in the 3rd?
Welker or Housh 4th?
One of those backs might not be available. I would target SJax, Slaton and Gore over Turner this year anyway. C Johnson is not likely to be there with your next pick, but maybe R Moss or S Smith will. Grant in 3rd would be a bargain, and there might be someone better at WR left *(though Welker or Housh would be fine). I haven't seen McNabb dropping to the 5th, but if he's gone you could probably get M Ryan or M Schaub
When I was 5th I took Jones-Drew. I think it went AP, Turner, Moss, Forte were taken ahead of me.
My thought is almost always to get a RB with the first pick, and then you almost have to get a WR with the 2nd because the good ones are gone quickly.
Calvin Johnson would definitely make sense, but don't forget Andre Johnson might be there too!
Grant would be solid in the 3rd round.
Unless you're in a PPR league I wouldn't take Welker or Housh. I'm trying to think who's there. You would be better served I think by taking someone like Kevin Smith here to give you 3 solid #1 RB's.
You'll have better QB's then McNabb in the 5th round guaranteed. If you can get Rivers here, I think that's a fantastic pick.
