Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
There is 10 teams, points are pretty much standard.
Main QB: Drew Brees - Backup QB: Ben Roethlisberger
Main WR: Randy Moss, Brandon Marshall, Hines Ward - Backup WR: Derrick Mason
Main RB: Ronnie Brown, Pierre Thomas - Backup RB: Darren McFadden
Main TE: Kellen Winslow - Backup TE: Martellus Bennet
Main K: Ryan Longwell
Main DEF: NYG - Backup DEF: ARI
Looks like your first 2 picks were a QB then a WR.Why would you do such a foolish thing. I like Pierre Thomas, I think he'll have a great year. There are all sorts of questions reguarding Ronnie Brown. He rushed 5 tds in 1 game(vs. Patriots), yet could only find the end FIVE times the other 15 games. That's way too inconsistent for a RB1. The Raiders have 3 RBs (Fargas, Bush, Mcfadden) who all get touches. Then you drafted a backup D and a backup TE! Why would anyone in their right mind do this. 4 out of 10 and you'll have to hit the waiver wires hard to make the playoffs.
Thanks all. With your help this is my lineup now:
QB Drew Brees
WR Randy Moss
WR Brandon Marshall
WR Hines Ward
RB Ronnie Brown
RB Pierre Thomas
TE Kellen Winslow
QB Ben Roethlisberger
WR Derrick Mason
RB Darren McFadden
RB Jamal Lewis
RB Knowshon Moreno
6 out of 10 rating.
Your issues are Marshall and Winslow...confidence/injurys always!!! Berrian is streaky. Hopefully R Brown continues to improve and...and P Thomas answers all the hype this year...
Rest of team is strong. You might make the playoffs if all works out.
I'd dump Jamal lewis and pick up Jackson. Lewis is a RB who was in his prime 5 years ago and has lost two steps. They have zero offensive threats , so the D will stack the line to stop a RB who is way past his prime. Cleveland faces Baltimore's and Pittsburgh's D twice every year and he will retire at seasons end. Jackson's a bright up and coming RB.
Would you compare that lineup to what I think the best lineup in the league is? This guy was picking at #1
QB Carson Palmer
WR Andre Johnson
WR Calvin Johnson
WR TJ Houshmandzadeh
RB Adrian Peterson
RB Kevin Smith
TE Antonio Gates
K Nate Kaeding
DEF San Diego
QB Eli Manning
WR Michael Crabtree
WR Domenik Hixon
RB Reggie Bush
RB Larry Johnson
Interesting thing is that Fred Jackson will give you 3 good games while Lynch is serving his suspension. However, in those 3 games Moreno could either do nothing or he could explode and get snagged by your opponents. Once Lynch returns, Jackson's production will decrease and I expect Moreno's will be dramatically rising.
You could try to pick up Jackson for now and then add Moreno later. However, I haven't been in a single real or mock draft with 10 teams or more in which I've seen Moreno go undrafted. Fred Jackson is a FA in two leagues I'm in.
