There is ABSOLUTELY no question you should make that trade!!
Holmes is not without SOME value, but he regressed, last year, his Super Bowl notwithstanding, and if that O Line doesn't improve, it's gonna be hard for Big Ben to get the ball downfield to'm very often. His prospects are pretty generic, as I see them.
ORTON, on the other hand ~ yes, the much-beleaguered Kyle Orton! ~ quietly evolved into a downfield passer, last year, slinging 10 TD's in 5 weeks ~ that is NOT a typo! ~ before getting hobbled for the year's duration by an ankle injury.
And he did so throwing to the worst crew of wideouts in the WORLD.
Now he's in Denver, with a terrific O Line, an Offensive Mastermind, and the likes of Brandon Marshall, Eddie Royal, Tony Scheffler, and the rest to throw to!!
