Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
His Boldin for my Marshawn Lynch.
Now, normally I would take it and run... but this is to the guy who's #1 in my league and I am HEAVY on WR.
Starting this week:
Also have an offer out there to get LT. I'll be set if that goes through.
Should I take this?
As ive noted in other responses - Royal has missed a couple of games (bye & ankle injury) and Cutler has been dealing with a niggling injury to his throwing hand (back to 100% now) - hence the dip in form.
Yup, "Q" is a good player - but you are way too lopsided, you NEED an RB way more than another WR. If you wanted you could trade 2 WRs for his Boldin if you are convinced that he is the player you need.
I cant condone trading Lynch for Boldin with you being so weak RB-wise. If you had any sort of respectable depth there then yeah its not an unfair trade.
But if you get one injury to your RBs (Its obvious the LT owner isnt selling - anyone else wouldve bitten your hand off for the offers) you arent going to challenge anyone for anything.
Try trading Welker & Royal for Boldin?
Personally, i think the guy sounds like he knows what hes doing - hes trying to weaken your team, whilst simultaneously strengthening his. Like i say, dont forget rookies finish seasons weak - they arent used to the conditioning and Slaton and Johnson are both rookies (Johnson has an excellent schedule coming up btw).
If he doesnt like Royal & Welker, try someone who has a great RB - once you've agreed it, make the Lynch - Boldin trade THEN make your Royal & Welker- Good RB trade. Its guaranteed to annoy him as hell think hes weakend your team and he wont have :)
You only have 3 RBs - if one gets injured you are in deep kaka...
You Deal from positions of strength to address weaknesses.. Thats fundamental to trading.
Boldin is a better PPR play, but you leave yourself desperately short at RB for the home stretch and playoffs :/
My advice? DONT TRADE for TWO very good reasons
(1) The BUF run schedule is ridiculous KC, CLE, SF, NE
(2) You Post trade you would have 6 WRs & only 2 RBS?!?!
How can you play the better matchup with your RBs? You cant you are forced to play the only 2 you have...
Also, rookies tail off production wise at the end of the NFL debut season - its a stat fact, they arent used to the rigours of it. Both your remaining RBs are rookies...
Also, every week you will be tearing your hair out as you have to predict which 2 of 6 players will be the best of the 30 possible combinations which is almost impossible and guaranteed that post weekend games you will be kicking yourself...
Find someone with a depth of RBs and shortage of Wrs and target them :)
you look pretty descent at runnin back...i would say go for it... i just made a huge mistake and traded boldin but i am also in a PPR league and i just gave up peterson and willie parker up for westbrook thomas jones and owen daniels...does that good to you ?
