Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I am currently 5th in my 10 team league and need to make a push for the playoffs.
The number 1 team in the league has proposed this trade to me:
I Give: Colston, McGahee
I Receive: Hines Ward, Hightower
My current WRs are TO, Marshall, Colston, Harrison, Roy Williams, Ted Ginn
My current RBs are Barber, Slaton, R Bush, McGahee
I have always been a Colston fan but have been real dissapointed with his performance the last 2 weeks. Hines Ward, I know is a beast. The RB really won't start for me except as a week 10 bye week filler (Barber, Bush out).
What's everybody think?
Not a good trade for you at all. You are giving 2 solid players and getting mostly back ups. Colston is just getting in synch with Brees and will only get better. He is the best player in the trade. Ward and hightower are nothing more than back-ups. They might get you 6-8 points as well as 0-2. And Hines is well below Colston in value. If you are trying to make the playoff this trade will not help you but might prevent you from getting there.
i just recently did a trade involving most of those player.
Colston, LJ, Hightower
Addai, Grant, and Hines
this was before LJ's problems and after Addai's injury. So i personally think you can do better for those two.
that is a horrible deal for you. don't do it. McGahee is healthy now and Colston will be back to his old for soon. There is no point giving up a reciever from a team that avg 300 plus passing yards a game and a running back from a team that runs 3 out of five times for a reciever on a team that throws it 20 times and a back from a team that runs it 20. Keep who you have, he is trying to work you.
