Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I am a commissioner in my keeper league for the last 4 years. I love giving advice and talking to people about trades, drafting and pick ups, and whatever. The only thing is I don't talk about it with my friends in my league because I don't want to give anything away or help anyone. Play to win dont' help the opponent. I feel like my knowledge goes to waste. So...if anyone needs help i'll be glad to give it, I'm really good at getting value out of trades and being able to think about how trades would affect both teams.
Hit me up with both rosters and details (roster size, starting positions, keeper leauge, keeper rules, scoring, ect.) and i'll be glad to help/give insight to anyone.
Do you think I should use the sell high on McFadden and get Calvin? I have Barber, C. Johnson and Morris as RB plus Edwards, Bowe, Cotchery and Roy Williams as my WR. If McFaddens turf toe is not that serious I think I would rather have him then Calvin. He could become a top RB. The guy who has Calvin Johnson is a die hard McFadden fan. If I do the trade I could pick up Bush his back-up, Brandon Jacksonor or T. Hightower off of the FA.
I just agreed to give up Wes Welker for DeSean Jackson which seems like a steal at this point in the season. Anyone disagree? Scoring is the standard yahoo league scoring.
What do you guys think of my team in general?
WR- Santonio Holmes
WR-(soon to be)Desean Jackson
D- Green Bay
Q-Jake Delhomme and Derek Anderson
RB-Ronnie Brown and Michael Pittman

I disagree VERY MUCH. I have been saying Desean jacksons best values is in Keeper leagues (which is where i have him) Rookie WR's Historically just do not do well. Even Calvin Johnson didn't have a great year last year and he is 10x the wideout coming into the nfl than desean. If you have Desean use him as trade bait while he is hot, hot, hot. Don't give up a proven player for him though. In the future he will be everything the Eagles need for a deep threat. But I doubt it happens this year

i think sticking with manning is the better choice. but Rodgers will have a great year it seems. I'd give a slim advantage to the Manning side. But here is a prime example why to not take a QB too early. taking manning in the 2nd is just too early as someone who takes rodgers in the 9th, 10th or later has a guy that may be just as good fantasy wise.

I think whoever is getting Gore in that trade makes off like a bandit. I've been telling people I think Desean Jackson has real value only in Keepers. I have him in my keeper league. Historically rookie WR's just don't perform well. Calvin johnson didn't even do that great last year and he is a Beast. Use Desean for what he is, very very hot trade bait this week

cutler is and will be an absolute monster i think. I told all my buddys when he was coming out of vandy and I picked him up in the 9th in my keeper league because I think he will just be amazing. BUT i just don't see giving up Fitz for him since Fitz is just a great wideout.
To tell you the truth I don't think you need to make a trade. Big Ben will be solid all year. Hines ward gets a lot of Redzone looks.
If you absolutely think you must trade go with Ward for Rivers. but I think you are fine as is
My team currently:
QB: Peyton Manning
RB: Fred Taylor
RB2: Ronnie Brown
WR/T: Braylon Edwards
WR/T: Donald Driver
WR/T: Roddy White
WR/T: Chad Johnson
WR/R: rb Darren Sproles
BN: rb Sammy Morris:
BN: te Tony Scheffler
BN: wr David Patten
BN: te Tony Gonzalez
BN: rb Pierre Thomas
This team is currently 11th out of 12th place and 0-2
Is this a good deal? Should i go through with it? I proposed it but kind of out of desperation to improve my team and the other team accepted so now its pending
