Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Okay, so I've seen a lot of mixed reaction on these boards, though the majority of you seem to think that Turner will never match that Week 1 performance again this season. It seems the general concensus is to sell high on him.
I ask those of you that own him and wanna sell... what d you plan on getting in return? What's his sell-high return value? I only ask because I think those of you that choose to deal him will not be getting nearly enough back. Turner will out-perform most fantasy players the rest of the way.
Any back that has had 250 touches in his career and has an average of basically 6 yards per carry... the guy is for real, mark my words.
It wasn't a fluke game. Sure, Michael won't be putting up 200+ yards and two scores every week but there are maybe only a very small handful of backs better than him the rest of the way. MAYBE a small handful...
I definitiley think Turner is for real and will be a top RB this year but he's not going to continue his week one performance or 6 YPC. Also alot depends on how Ryan performs and how turner responds to opponents stacking the line against him. He could notice some drop off b/c of that but I still think he's in line for a solid season (but I predict he'll slow down as the seasons goes on)
I say stand firm unless you can get a top RB (like LT,AP,Westy,Gore...) or a top WR (Moss,TO...) or if you got screwed at QB this year maybe work out a trade for a top QB.
Moss may pose and interesting option. Someone might panic at the loss of Brady and read the highlights from Turner's week 1 performance and bite. Go ahead and test the waters but only if you can get a top of the line (think 1st rounder or early second rounder) in return.
That's my 2 cents at least

I agree wholeheartedly... there's no sense in dealing Turner unless you can get in return one of the guys you just mentioned.
It is just one game, and I'm not saying he'll keep THAT up the whole way. He'll be as solid as they get, though. I just think it's really funny to hear that he's a fluke. A lot of hardcore fans have been waiting for this day for a LONG time.
your excatly right come to think about it theres about two three maybe four you got a great guy espically with ryan bacck there if he can exicute like i know he can you will be just FINE!!!! with TURNER!!!!!!!
