I feel like I should make this happen but... Should I accept this??

  First, H. Ward is an aging WR, second, Mcfadden is an unproven rookie. If Jake Delhomme stays healthy then S. Smith is a stud receiver and I would do it, but remember what happened last year when Delhomme went out for a long time, S. Smith's numbers dropped like a rock. It's your call, but if I had a chance to get S. Smith I would do it.
