    Darren McFadden

How early would you draft McFadden next year in FF? I know it depends on what team he goes to, but I believe he is better than AP and will thrive in the NFL. I would consider him in the 2nd Round early pick. What are some other thoughts on him?

    • I think NE knows how to run the ball, just that their RB situation dictates pass first and often. Given a back of McFadden's quality, I actually think they can run really well because of their o-line. I picked Peterson for 2 of my leagues because of Vikes' o-line, not because of Peterson - I never watched his college games. And McFadden seems to be able to catch the ball out of the backfield too. So if he goes to NE, I would pick him up no later than round 6. If he goes to a team with a crappy o-line, I would pick him a lot later, even if he touches the ball more than 25 times a game.

    • People also thought I was crazy to draft AP in the 3rd round. Well I proved them wrong didn't I. I am taking McFadden 3rd round at the latest. I don't want to lose out on this one.

    • I agree with the previous poster. 2nd round is a bit early. I would pick him 6th round, depending on which team he goes to. If NE takes him, I would consider him in one of the later rounds (10th), because NE airs the ball like no other.

      Good luck.

    • he will be good but not as good as AP. He needs to put of some more weight or he will pounded and to adapt to a much larger playbook. he is more of a system running back to me

      • AP is listed at 6-1 217, McFadden is listed at 6-2 215. I see no difference there and give the edge to McFadden in size because he is a year younger and has an extra year to bullk up more before the NFL. Get adapt to a much larger playbook are you serious? Did you watch any Arkansas games and all the different schemes they ran? McFadden will be better than AP. You can quote me on that one.

    • I agree. I consider him a big sleeper. 2nd round still sounds early, but it is a strong possibility. Two words, Adrian Peterson!
