Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
this league i am 6-3 in.....hes 4-5 and just lost larry johnson
i may be thinning myself a bit at RB, but i woudl have Wayne, Braylon, and moss starting at WR which would be amazing.....should i do it?? and will fargas be a reliable back for the rest ofthe season
No, although I can see the upside. The fact is your already loaded at WR, and Chad may not be playing up to his standard right now but look at his last four games, StL, SF, Cle, Mia. Thats not a bad schedule for top flight WR to have come playoff time. Do you really want to take a risk on having Moss cut his playing time in the last two weeks and rely on Fargas as your #2 RB? Not to mention you may already have a problem with Peyton playing fulltime in the last game of the year. Jacobs is a very solid RB, with a team that will be fighting for playoff seeding till the end in their division. And you have a team that should be contending for a championship.
i dunno dude, jacobs should be great the rest of the season...and chad johnson aint too shabby either if he comes back healthy...seems like youre giving up too much...
but fargas should be the starter unless something odd happens, so i wouldnt worry too much there
I would never in my life give up my #1 running back for a WR. Jacobs is a solidddd back, and given the right matchup, Johnson can be just as successful as Moss.
Cincy has a very nice matchup week 14, the first round of the playoffs against St. Louis if u wanna plan ahead.
Seriously though, that would be murderous. Also you're gonna depend on Justin Fargus for the rest of the season? Lamont Jordan still gets his carries, and the fans are calling for Rhodes to get more involved. No passing game for oakland either.
I dunno how many teams you have in ur leagure, but WR's aren't that hard to find from week to week. There is a guy in my league that had a terrible draft and got injuries, but he wins every week switching up his lineup with free agents.
Moss is a huge upgrade over C.Johnson. Jacobs will be huge for the rest of the season. But I don't think Fargas will be able to make up the loss of Jacobs, even considering the upgrade at WR. Don't make the trade.

I have to agree.....unless Bill Belichick decides to go for it all & try for the undefeated season record, your chances of having any NE player late in the season is not good....they are on fire now but if you play in a tough league that has their playoffs thru week 17, you're probably gonna sink; if you need the wins though I would probably say go for it.....
yes, make the trade, fargas will be feasible. moss will continue to put up points and even in weeks 15 and 16 NE plays the jets and the dolphins. If brady is still looking for the td record then that is mucho points for moss

take it dude.... why would you want to pass up a chance to get a piece of the n.e. pie? Brady just got done saying that when its on the line, hes going to moss. johnson is imploding and jacobs is injury risk any touch he gets
