If you have something to drop that is not very valuable then go for it. I would rather drop garbage to get a potential gem then kick yourself later when someone else beats you to it when he starts producing.

Of course the is another factor to consider in some leagues. If your leage has unlimited moves then I say do it now if you can afford to drop something If you are on limited moves it may be prudent to wait. Our league has unlimited moves.
