Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Someone has offered me this trade
he sends= Carson Palmer, Laurence Maroney, Roy Williams, Derick Mason
I send= Ben Roethlisberger, Reggie Bush, and Plaxico Buress.
league is 1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1te,
my team is now
qbs= Big Ben and Jon Kitna
Rbs= Larry Johnson, Reggie Bush and Lamont Jordan
Wrs= Plaxico Buress, Lee Evans, Roddy White Bobby Engram
I am currenty 3-3 and there are 6 people in my division and right now two of them are both 5-1. Only two make playoffs so i need to get going now and wondering if u guys thought this trade could jumpstart my team or if u think it would just make it worse
All help i appreciate and thank u for the useful advice
I'd stick with Big Ben, Bush, and Plaxico.
If you could package something up for another solid #2 WR (Santonio Holmes...maybe Galloway if you're a good negotiator) then you will be doing fine. You should have a chance to play the 5-1 teams again, plus they have to play one another. You still have a solid shot.

You could really even afford to trade off Kitna while his value is still high. I just see the Lions falling back a bit. Put Kitna and a WR together and you could get a good #1 WR or a solid #2 and an upgrade at TE
thx for the advice he does have Santonio Holmes as a wr too so how about if i substitute him for derrick mason and see if i can change kitna for roethlisberger. Also his favorite player is Reggie Bush so i am hoping that will help make the trade.
Do u guys think tho that Maroney will even do anything cuz bush could have a HUGE 2nd half of the season
you will probaly never use mason except on a bye. He is simple puff. I would never ever get rid of Plax. Even though Williams has good numbers he isn't as consistant as Plax. The only good you would get out of the deal is Carson. But you have Kitna and he has been doing well. Id counter offer with Williams for Evans and Ben. If you get rid of Bush and Plex your season is over. With Plax and Roy and Kitna in your line-up you should do fine. Only thing you might have to worry about is that Calvin Johnson is back and Kitna said he needs to find a way to get him the ball more more so look for Roy to not get as many looks.
I would do it.
I have Big Ben, but Carson is much more effective.
Adrian is going to go off, and Roy is also great.
With Plax's ankle, things could be iffy. And Reggie is just too unrelialbe.
Even if he does go off, I think Carson is going to save you those points with Peterson.
i dont know if he will take Kitna and suppose he wont would it still be better for me i do Big Ben instead of Kitna. I am just worried bush could have a HUGE second half of the season but with maroney finally healthy and Morris out for a month that would help me if i do the trade
I agree, stick with your team.
You can get a way better deal from someone else.
I know you need WR's but why get shafted to get them.
You are losing probally the best WR right now this yr.
Bush has gotten great points since he started.
Lamont is injury prone.
I would not lose Bush or LJ.
So is it worth it to upgrade your team however much you feel it will versus how much it will help his?
I'm in a keeper league with Eli and Big Ben as my QB. (We start 2)
I've thought all along that I MUST upgrade at QB to be competitive but I'm all alone at the top with a 5-1 record.
Who is my main WR you ask? Plaxico
My RB though is sick. Westbrook, Adrian, Parker, Barber III, B. Jacobs.
I've thought about trading that depth at RB for a top QB, but doing so I improve the other team's roster too much. I'd rather have a stockpile of talent on my bench and not in their starting lineup to hurt me.
smokey i like that trade but i only have one concern. Do u think Lee Evans is going to break out soon or not. Cuz if u think he is going to then i don't think i will do a trade. Cuz then with Plax and him i would be good at wr. But if u dont then maybe this guy will think he will and then i have plax and roy.
