Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
All season long, my WRs have been the sore spot but despite that I'm 4-1 but only near the middle in scoring. This week I'm playing the highest scoring team in the battle for first place, so I brought in S.Smith in deal who should also help me out for the rest of the season. Also half my team has byes this week which doesn't help. Here's what I have now..
WR-S.Smith, Engram, Chambers
K-Brown(50 point kicker lol)
BN-Big Ben, S.Moss, Walker, W.Parker, Evans, Selvin
Think I need to change my line up and should drop anybody for Jason Wright? He has a favorable match up and I would use him over Morris. Bench is kind of limited because of byes, but I could search long and hard in FA to find good match ups.
I'd look to make a trade, perhaps for better RB help. My best advice is include Steve Smith in the deal because Delhomme is done for the year, Carr is battling injuries, and they're going with a completely unproven #3 QB. Don't give him away for less than his fair value but try to get Brandon Jacobs, Clinton Portis, or maybe even a slumping Larry Johnson or Alexander out of the deal. Include something else to make it work, but I don't think Smith will be the #1 WR you envision over the course of this season. Look at his #s last year without Delhomme compared to when he played. Wright may help you some in the near future but is not a long term fix. You need a better RB tandem and his numbers were acceptable but not spectacular.
Keep an eye on the Lewis injury, because if he can't go then Wright totally has a GREAT match up against Miami. Also, see if the RB from Green Bay is available Wynn, he looked VERY GOOD before he left the game with leg cramps. GOOD LUCK!
