If you're a Dwayne Bowe(notes) owner, here's the best advice we can give you: Don't watch.

Monitor the box score if necessary, but don't view his games live. Bowe's numbers will be there at the end of the day; that's all you really need to know. He gave you six catches and 109 receiving yards against Washington on Sunday. If you weren't watching, that line no doubt satisfied you.

If you were watching…well, you probably felt a little like Chiefs head coach Todd Haley, who reportedly "tore into Bowe early in Sunday's win over the Redskins, urging Bowe to pick up his game and threatening to trade Bowe if he didn't."

Drops were only part of the problem. Here are a few details via the Kansas City Star:

As always with Bowe, there was some bad with the good. He dropped some passes, he missed a block on a play that otherwise would have been a touchdown for Matt Cassel(notes) and he went out of bounds on his 32-yard gain when the Chiefs wanted to keep the clock moving. … “I left a lot of plays out there,” he said.

And when you leave a lot of plays out there, then you also leave fantasy points. So don't watch, Bowe owner. Just appreciate the 7-10 points, knowing that it probably should be 11-14.

Bowe is one of the NFL's more heavily targeted receivers, so he rarely lacks opportunities. He finished third in total targets last year (157) and he was near the top of the Week 6 leader board…

Being JaMarcus Russell's(notes) favorite receiver is a bit like being Jack Kevorkian's favorite patient. That relationship can't end well. But you'll note that Zach Miller was targeted 11 times in the Raiders' win over the Eagles. Miller scored 35.3 percent of his total year-to-date public league fantasy points on this absolutely insane play. (Louis Murphy(notes) gets at least three assists there). ... Through six weeks, Ray Rice(notes) leads the league in total yards (766) and he leads all running backs in both targets (43) and receptions (33). Not surprisingly, he's also the second highest-scoring back in most points-per-reception formats, narrowly edged by Maurice Jones-Drew(notes). Rice's bye week is most unwelcome. ... Andre Johnson(notes) became the first No. 1 wide receiver to deliver a big game against the Bengals this year, thanks in part to a Houston gameplan that refused to allow double-coverage to erase the team's most dangerous weapon. On the Texans' first play from scrimmage, Matt Schaub(notes) hit Johnson on a quick wide receiver screen that went for 59 yards.

Steven Jackson's season has been heroic. The Rams are averaging an NFL-worst 9.0 points per game so there aren't many fantasy points to go around, but Jackson has still given his owners 111.8 total yards per contest. He's fourth among running backs in year-to-date targets (31). ... We've pestered you enough with Hakeem Nicks(notes) propaganda. He's a great talent, terrific hands, naturally effervescent, etc. Take note of the Week 6 numbers (5-114-1), but know that all those stats arrived in the second half of a game that only seemed competitive for the first 30 minutes. David Carr(notes) threw the touchdown. Nicks and Carr were an unstoppable preseason tag team. ... At this point, Sidney Rice(notes) should be owned in all leagues. He leads all Vikings receivers in catches (23) and yards (409), though Bernard Berrian(notes) has a slight edge in targets (38 to 34). ... At the moment, all we really know about Anquan Boldin(notes)'s ankle is that it isn't broken. His status for the Week 7 Sunday nighter against the Giants remains unclear. Steve Breaston(notes) and Jerheme Urban(notes) will benefit if Boldin is limited, and that's clearly an offense that can support three startable fantasy receivers. Arizona's run-pass ratio was 26/43 on Sunday, in a 24-point road win where the outcome was never in doubt.

is massaquoi worth picking up in that awful offense in cleveland?i mean i can see it if you need him bad,but i think the league is stacked with average wrs that are de facto #1s or #2 on their teams.

No love for Colston going 8-8 166 TD? I understand that he is in an offense that spreads it to who is open, but he is 6'4" in an offense that may be one of the best pure passing offense's ever. And he is a hell of a redzone target, many people will be riding his coat tails to glory at the end of the season, as he is always big-time late in the season remember that!

In the only league where I'm below .500 and vying for a much-needed win, all my backs are on their Bye Week: MJD (Jac), Johnson (Ten), Rice (Bal) and Smith (Det). And my receiver, Marshall (Den), too. That's just uncalled for.

Week 4) Boy, Buddy Ryan is mad. Week 5) Boy, Buddy Ryan is really mad. Week Six) Boy, Buddy Ryan is really really mad, which brings us to bettor's fallacy number four: professional football players are rarely motivated by the anger of their coach.

If Bowe were actually on an NFL major league team, rather than a minor league team (KC, OAK, CLE, STL,TB,DET) ... he'd be in the Randy Moss/Calvin Johnson realm.
