The Buffalo News offers information that should be relevant to fantasy owners:
Bills coach Dick Jauron officially ruled Trent Edwards, Aaron Schobel and Jabari Greer out for Sunday's game against Miami. Actually, Edwards is out as the starter. Jauron said there's still a possibility he could serve as the third quarterback.
JP Losman will start for Buffalo in Week 14. He'll face a Miami defense that allows 233 passing yards per game and the third-most fantasy points to wide receivers. I'd left both Losman and Edwards out of the quarterback ranks for Week 14, but only because the situation was unsettled on Wednesday. Knowing that Losman will start, you can bump him to No. 20, which is basically where Funston has him.
This news is OK if you're a Lee Evans owner. The strong-armed Losman has thrown 16 of Evans' 32 career receiving touchdowns, and eight of those passes have covered 40 yards or more. Edwards has been hesitant and inefficient in recent weeks (though the Chiefs game was a notable exception). You wouldn't necessarily see Edwards attempt this throw:
If we're ranking today, nudge Evans up five spots, past Bernard Berrian, Dwayne Bowe, Calvin Johnson, Eddie Royal and Wes Welker. You'll recall that the Bills and Dolphins are playing indoors in Toronto this weekend, so there's no reason to fear the elements. For those of us who face a Losman/Matt Schaub decision in 20-team leagues, the venue is a factor.
