This is a travel day for the blog, but we'd like to leave you with the stirring image above, and the first round of your 2009 draft below (100 percent analysis free).

Many thanks to those of you who participated in the Monday Night Live Blog this year over at Shutdown Corner. That was great fun. Just thinking about it gives us the vapors.

OK, here's Round 1: 1) Adrian Peterson, 2) Maurice Jones-Drew, 3) Michael Turner, 4) DeAngelo Williams, 5) Brian Westbrook, 6) Frank Gore, 7) Matt Forte, 8) Drew Brees, 9) Marion Barber, 10) Chris Johnson, 11) Steve Slaton, 12) LaDainian Tomlinson.

There, we've saved you at least three minutes of draft time.

Matt Forte -- THE man, The Myth, The Legend.
I would take him over Westbrook and Gore due to his team's run first mentality, and durability (ignore that pinky toe!)

Felix Jones and Choice are going to kill Barbers #'s next year, hard to draft him in first round.

I'd throw Thomas Jones somewhere in there.

Slaton needs to be higher 100 total yards on most games when he became the premeir back

Brees is understandable, but no Brady/Cassel appearance in the first round?

I have to pick two between Gore/C. Johnson/Forte to keep for next year... any thoughts? Forte is a no brainer for me.

MJD 2nd? He had a terrible year with 3 very good weeks sprinkled in...you are wayyyyy off on him. Everything else looks alright.

Johnson won't go any later than early 2nd round, good choice there.

I just won my league with only one of those guys on my team (Marion Barber), and I didn't even play him.... Why not Peyton Manning at 11 or 12?

Megatron should be a low first rounder if he gets a decent QB next year.

if tomlinson showed us anything this year, its that he shouldn't be taken until a much later round. I would take Thomas Jones above him without a second thought

Jones-Drew will be a top 3 back next year...Guarantee..Jags line is so beat up right now, after a whole off season to rebuild and allow Delrio to design plays for Jones-Drew, he will surpass all the looks and touches that Forte and Turner got this year. I will draft MJD over Turner or DeAngelo next year, and this was my draft this year. 12 teams
Brees, Portis, Colston, DeAngelo, Slaton, Roddy. Won the league with one loss all year.

MoJo- that is way off. Marion Barber might not need to be that high either. I see why to keep LT in the first, but personally wouldn't rate him quite that high.

The demise of LT has been greatly exaggerated. He is still a top five back for another 3 years. AD, Turner, LT, MJD, Forte, D.Williams, Gore, Westbrook?? (QB issue), Brees, Slaton, Barber,

Turner 1st, then Chris Johnson, Deangelo, MJD, APeterson, Westbrook, Tom Brady, Payton Manning, Gore, Forte, Slaton, LT, Willie Parker, Drew Brees, Romo, Jay Cutler, Anquan Boldin, Thomas Jones, Marshawn Lynch, Andre Johnson, Greg Jennings...
