Court Report: Week 6 Dashboard

Here's a quick run-down of need-to-know info as we prepare for Week 6 of the fantasy basketball season.

Week 6 Pickups/Plug-ins

Don't forget that quantity can trump quality when you set this week's lineup - three teams only play twice this week (Houston, New Orleans, and Sacramento). Also see: this week's Big Picture and Basketball Monster's ease rankings.

D.J. Augustin – Still playing 30-plus minutes off the bench and has very nice matchups (MIN, OKC, @MIL, CLE).

Eric Gordon – If his hammy is good to go, he'll play a ton in the Clippers' four games (@DAL, @HOU, @MEM, @MIN)

Paul Millsap – He's posted four straight double-doubles (averages of 19 points and 11.8 boards) filling in for Carlos Boozer, who remains out, and the Jazz have another four-game week on tap.

Trevor Ariza – He's playing very well (10.8 points, 6.6 boards, 3.8 assists, 1.6 steals, 0.4 blocks over the past five games) and the Lakers are looking at a cushy four-game slate (@IND, @PHI, @WAS, MIL).

Luther Head – He started for the injured T-Mac on Saturday and posted 21 points, 2 threes, 5 boards, 4 assists, and two steals. If McGrady is sidelined for any length of time, Head could prove to be quite valuable. In 55 career starts, he's averaged 13.5 points, 1.9 threes, 3.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.4 steals.

Week 6 Sit/Start Situations

Andrew Bogut – Bench him, as his knee injury will keep him out for at least another week.

• Carlos Boozer – Keep him on the bench for at least another week. The key quote here: "I'm hoping that maybe next week, maybe a little bit after that, I'll be back out there."

• Eric Gordon – His hamstring injury doesn't appear to be serious, so he's still a fairly safe play for the Clippers' four-game week. Be on the lookout for more specific updates later in the day on Sunday or early Monday.

Josh Howard – His ankle has made little progress; he's out for at least another week

Stephen Jackson – A relatively iffy play this week, given that he's questionable for the W's game on Monday. If you've got another three- or four-game option, it makes sense to go that route.

Chris Kaman – Kaman is out at least this week and likely longer, so bench him.

Andrei Kirilenko – While AK's ankle injury not considered serious, this update makes it seem like he'll need at least a few days before he's 100 percent. I'd explore other options, although the Jazz do play for times this week.

Kevin Martin – He's expected to return Tuesday, but the Kings only play twice this week, so you may want to consider another option either way.

Tracy McGrady – Get/keep T-Mac on the bench and hope for the best, as he's slated to meet with Dr. James Andrews on Monday. The key quote from that link: "I’m just not ready to play. With the limping and everything, I’m not healthy enough to play anymore. It’s good that I’m going to see the doctor on Monday and get a second opinion, and then we’ll make a decision on the future."

Steve Nash – He's expected to play Sunday (today) so Week 6 should not be an issue.

Jameer Nelson – Keep him on the bench. He's out for at least one more game (Monday) and the Magic play only three times this week.

Jermaine O'Neal – O'Neal practiced Saturday and plans on playing Sunday, so it makes sense to let his level of success in that venture influence whether or not you plug him in for Week 6.

Nate Robinson – Robinson continues to be day-to-day with a groin strain. His immediate status is likely to be determined on a game-time basis, so he's a tricky play. If you've got another reasonable option, go that route.

Josh Smith – It looks like he's ready to return, so get him back in your lineup.

Is it safe to say T-Mac let his ego get the best of him and came back too early? Seeing Dr. Andrews is like the kiss of death for any athlete dealing with joint problems...

yes, that does not sound good for T-Mac , but a great for Artest owners b/c that means a larger role.

i think Tmac cant carry a team on his back anymore. he did it for too long in orlando and now he has bad back issues every season.

I have to decide between playing Eric Gordon and Nate Robinson (weekly lineup). Who do you guys think will be a safer bet to play this week?

Pryzbilla has a great FG% and a great FT% for a center, He's also been getting at least one block a night recently. With Oden healthy and improving he won't get as much playing time however...
