Caught on Tape: Week 9 fantasy pickups

Here's a special treat for the fantasy guru fetishists among you. The video below should almost get a NSFW tag, it's so hot. We film these things every Monday yet they don't always get the spotlight they deserve, perhaps due to the mature-audiences-only nature of the content. Seriously: That's the kind of hotness we're talking about.

We're still running the tens of thousands of Week 9 simulations that are necessary to produce the official position ranks. Please be patient. Enjoy a pickup video while you wait…

That was really a lot of punctuation there, DJS. Save some for the rest of us.

Moats worth dropping Maroney??? NE has a pretty favorable playoff schedule but does he lose his job when Morris comes back???

I hate chasing points. Every time I pick up a RB and plug him in, he goes bust. Ever hear of Jerome Harrison.

I think Moats is a good add, I just wont plug him in until I see his true value.

My gut is that the benching of Slaton was just a wake up call. Great Buy Low time.

Not a wake up call. Houston is fighting for a playoff spot,if you were the head coach; would you give the ball to an RB that fumbles for NO REASON? The fumble against Buffalo was ridiculous, almost suspicious in how easily he coughed it up. I'd be surprised if Slaton sees the field anytime other than garbage time. Houston doesn't really need a stud RB,they just need a guy who can run without fumbling. Slaton is done in Houston.

I agree with Shadow. Slaton was too good last year, and he's too young to write him off so soon. He just needs a dose of reality to set him straight. (I hope...)

Schaub (vs. Indy) or Hasselbeck (vs. DET) this week?

They might as well just call Slaton an H-back. 3rd downs (passing downs), line up anywhere, the backfield, the slot. I just can't imagine them keeping him in as the full time work horse carrying the rock.

No, I agree that Slaton is a fine buy-low. Discussed that earlier in the week. In fact, I think he'll be a few spots higher than Moats in my RB ranks this week. But that does look like a committee of some sort.
Re: Maroney...It's not clear that Morris or Taylor can come back anytime soon. Maroney is the guy there until further notice. Prefer him to Moats right now.

Moats should be playing with Cassel, what a medieval combination!

Aww, thought this was going to be a new video. I already check out the weekly Behrens/Mathai videos, along with the later Funston/Evans/Beil videos. Good stuff, Andy.
I've been sitting pretty with Jamaal Charles for 2 weeks now, hope he makes good use of his starting position this week. It's been tough in the leagues where I drafted Forte early; I ended up trading away Forte in one league for Leon Washington (ouch) and Ahmad Bradshaw (don't break your foot!). I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I'm not completely sold on Moats solely because of his performance last week, but snagged him in two leagues in case he ends up performing well again.

By the way, is the "Featured Fantasy Video" section always a couple of days behind the latest fantasy football videos? I always have to go directly to the video player. It makes more sense to have them synced for same day.

I would definitely pick up Moats. But i would have him on the bench until i see that he gets the true load. He does play a horrible run defense. I don't see him getting less carries than Steve. I am predicting that Houston will take an early lead and blow the Bills out. That being said, they are going to have a back that won't fumble the ball, so this is why Moats will actually do well. I predict 90 yards and a TD from Moats.

Now the question is who to offer for Slaton?
Tat I am hoping he's not going to ride the pine in the end.
