Monday evening, California tailback Trajuan Briggs confirmed to BearTerritory.net the rumors that he will transfer out of the Bears football program after the end of the academic year.
After suffering a fractured tibia before his senior season at Pacoima (Calif.) Birmingham, a fracture just above the ankle, Briggs rehabbed and was deemed fit to play by the time he decommitted from USC and signed with Cal, but Briggs endured a rash of injuries to his ankle and lower body during his time in Berkeley, and was never able to crack the running back rotation. He did not see any game action for the Bears.
Briggs will finish his finals and then will commence the search for a new school with two years of eligibility remaining.
