Sometimes trash talk equals stupidity

You've got two fighters who've combined for 93 wins against four losses. It's pretty hard for either side to point out some huge weakness in their opponent yet trainers Freddie Roach and Floyd Mayweather Sr. have found a way to do so when talking about the Manny Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton fight. Even Hatton has jumped on board. Floyd Sr.'s mind may be fried but when he says something thousands of times it's bound to seep into his fighter's head. He says Pacquaio still hasn't learned to move his head after eight years of working with Roach. Hatton went even further telling the Sunday Times of London that Pacman is one-dimensional:

"I can fight going backwards, too, and I know he can’t. He does all of his punching on the front foot. He shuffles in and out constantly but when he punches he’s always coming forward. He doesn’t get leverage on the back foot and, in order to punch on his front foot, he will have to come into my territory."

Hatton says people are getting two excited about Pacman's win over Oscar De La Hoya:

"Oscar was like a walking corpse that night but I have plenty left in the tank. Manny is in for one hell of a shock when he realises just how much boxing ability and hand speed I have."

Roach and his assistant Michael Moorer have been calling Hatton one-dimensional throughout HBO's 24/7 preview of the fight.

Little Pacman is the main reason why I still watch boxing. Once the little guy retires along with JMM and (though he doesn't deserve it) Gayweather. Boxing will be no more.
And MMA is far more exciting and far more superior than Boxing. And that's the truth!!! (^^,

Sometimes stupid headlines are just stupid. i dont see a lot of trash talk illustrated in your article hackfield.. it is true that manny is not a great counter puncher and doesn't fight well when not in space. . it is also true odlh that night was totally flat footed and an easy target. i dont think hatton will ever be a fluid, elusive fighter, but he can be harder to hit than dlh that night. this fight will blow away all the stupid ufc ppv numbers. it will pay the fighters ten times what any ufc fighter gets no matter the fight. probably more when it is all said and done. and in the meanwhile, like this past weekend, we had great fights with taylor, penalosa, green, etc etc.. lets compare to the new big match up that even yahoos' mainstream website is promoting.. they are calling silva vs. griffin the fight of the year already.. are you kidding?? griffin is a friggin' joke of an athlete. he has no atheltic ability when you watch him fight. thank god there is mma, coz a guy like griffin could never be a boxer with his limited footwork and almost laughable hand speed and lack of defense. people with a real fighting iq see right thru that ufc crap.. i wonder how much ufc puts in the yahoo till for the sycophants like cofield and iole who pump ufc juice all day everday.. hacks..

Omega (fish oil).. dude you are retarded. you keep saying you dont like boxing but then say you like certain fighters. i bash mma, but i readily admit i enjoy watching it, and there are a few fighters i think have talent. boxing distills its talent on the way up. you have to beat your opponent using the very same discipline. you cant 'turtle' or pull guard for minutes at a time. i would bet all you dinks who say boxing sucks with its' 'big fluffy gloves' have never sparred in a boxing gym with even a middle level amateur. bonnar is supposedly a 'boxer' that fights mma. what no one tells you is he fought novice class only, and never even won a tournament. novice means no more than 10 amateur fights in your 'beginning' stages. it is not even open class. jump off dingleberry.. you are making my a$$ itch..

Yahoo is so anti-boxing! On the US homepage in the sports section they've got a big pic and story about Anderson Silva fighting Forrest Griffen which is months away. Yet no big big and story about Pacquiao and Hatton which is happening this weekend. Crazy!

Cofield already trying to sully and gum up a super boxing mega fight. dont hate stevie.. just because these fighters will make more money in this one fight than a guy like liddell got in purse money over the course of his entire mma career. or that the ppv numbers will put to shame any ufc ppv. this fight is way above your pay grade codfield. you better let iole take the wheel.. go back to erroneous blogs on the mma site, appealing to your mullet wearing, nascar loving fan base... griffin vs. silva is your next ufc mega fight?? lmao.. griffin couldnt swat a butterfly, or dodge a six year olds fast ball.. thank god there is mma otherwise griffin could never be a 'fighter'.. with those cement feet, handspeed like a rusty tinman and no head movement.. hmmmm. sounds like a great fighter to me.. let alone 'athlete'... joke...

Parrot.. amen.... it is ridiculous. but the ppv numbers and fighters purses tell the real story. yahoo and ufc are in bed together. it is comical. cofield will do his best to denigrate this fight, but it doesn't matter. i dont know of any mma gyms that have to close their doors because a fighter is so popular, that busloads of fans come to watch him train.. they have to lock up the gym just so manny can train due to the influx of fans daily.. no mma fighter even comes close.. great free fights this past weekend, and a great ppv this weekend. griffin/// lol... he wouldn't last a week as a sparring partner for even a good middleweight boxer. not hands of stone, but feet stuck in stone. boxing rules mma/ufc tards.. get over it.. yahoo sold their soul to china, so dont expect them to be fair when it comes to anything..

Cofield’s new blog “Sometimes trash talk equals stupidity”. I don’t see why that title relates to the Hatton vs Pacquiao fight. The only thing I see them doing is analyzing each other witch is what they are suppose to do. They need to see if they could find an advantage, to exploit, to come up with a game plan. I DON’T CONSIDER THAT TRASH TALKING OR STUPIDITY!

PAQUIAO fans should have a counter chant with his filipino fans like: HALA BIRA HALA BIRA. And pinoys should bring their own drums.
