You've got two fighters who've combined for 93 wins against four losses. It's pretty hard for either side to point out some huge weakness in their opponent yet trainers Freddie Roach and Floyd Mayweather Sr. have found a way to do so when talking about the Manny Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton fight. Even Hatton has jumped on board. Floyd Sr.'s mind may be fried but when he says something thousands of times it's bound to seep into his fighter's head. He says Pacquaio still hasn't learned to move his head after eight years of working with Roach. Hatton went even further telling the Sunday Times of London that Pacman is one-dimensional:
"I can fight going backwards, too, and I know he can’t. He does all of his punching on the front foot. He shuffles in and out constantly but when he punches he’s always coming forward. He doesn’t get leverage on the back foot and, in order to punch on his front foot, he will have to come into my territory."
Hatton says people are getting two excited about Pacman's win over Oscar De La Hoya:
"Oscar was like a walking corpse that night but I have plenty left in the tank. Manny is in for one hell of a shock when he realises just how much boxing ability and hand speed I have."
Roach and his assistant Michael Moorer have been calling Hatton one-dimensional throughout HBO's 24/7 preview of the fight.
