The BBC does a nice job of recapping the pandemonium around Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton as they arrived at their respective Las Vegas hotels before the big fight this weekend. Americans may feel a bit out of place at the MGM with all the Filipinos and British in attendance at the MGM Grand Garden.

The British media is interesting to watch at Hatton fights. It's part fan, part story teller. According to the media folks from the U.K., this battle is somehow for the title of pound-for-pound king (stated at 2:53, 3:06, 3:20 & 3:50). I'm not as high as many on former top three fighter Floyd Mayweather Jr. but have we forgotten about what he did to The Hitman?

Floyd Jr. is retired and technically not eligible for many pound-for-pound lists, but he is just 16 month removed from destroying Hatton. Hatton does have a solid shot in this fight against Pacman but a win over Paulie Malignaggi has somehow transformed him from trash, as many media types were calling him after the Floyd Jr. loss, to top shelf boxing treasure.

Listen here after the big fight on Saturday night. Starting at 1 a.m. ET, Cofield will host the ESPNRadio1100/Yahoo! Sports postfight show from the media center at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

WOW, Cofield you are such a great analyst did you figure that out all by your self or did the people at UFC give you a hand!!!!
The reason this is a compelling match is Hatton has never lost at 140lbs weight division..... Pacquiao hasn’t won a title at that 140lbs light welterweight devision.... This will be the heaviest title for him if he wins, also making him a 6 divison title holder.... The question is “is Pacquiao dominant as a Light Welterweight???” or “Does he need to go back down in weigh????” for Hatton the question is “Is he the best at Light Welterweight????” “Has he really changed his fighting style with Mayweather Sr???”
Earn your place as a “Boxing Expert” in this Blog and really look into the fights!!!! Or let me know ill take over!!!!
Stop hating on boxing because you know this Match will overshadow UFC 100 or any MMA event!!!!

The only people who would take offense from my comments are those who have the mentality of a baby. I don't care if someone is trying to bash a favorite sport or athlete of mine. It's his opinion and he has the right to do so.
Unfortunately, guys like nutcracker (the internet toughie/geek who still refuses to meet me in Bali for his proposed sparring match) and july firehouse (a big whining baby and an easily offended blogger) can't see through that. I don't want to stoop to these guy's pathetic levels. I'll continue to post my comments and opinions regardless of what you think. And I'm no Cofield supporter. LOL! =D
And MMA is far far far far far far far more exciting and far far far far far far far far more realistic than Boxing. And that's the truth! (^^,

Though I'm a huge MMA fan, I wouldn't dare miss this fight. Pacman is one of the only two boxer left that's worth watching right now (the other guy is JMM). Shane Mosley should be the third. Others are just plain boring and cherry picking their opponents for superior records. When Pacman and JMM are both gone, Boxing will have no more good fighters to watch. And when that time comes, I'll be sticking purely to MMA and disregard all of Boxing's PPVs.

LOL! Sorry guys I wasn't reading your replies to my comments. Oh and here I am thinking Nut is too afraid of me. He wants to spar with me cause he doesn't like my comments on Cofield's blog and I accepted a long time ago. Funny cause I remember that I told you that I'd be on Bali on of April I was even asking for your number so that we can spar and I even posted my e-mail add so that you send me the address of your gym there. Didn't I told you that if it's a beating you want then I will definitely obliged. I'll be back in Bali next week, so please give me your contact number (cause I'm using roaming and it's no use in Thailand) and I'll set a place for us to meet. It's a freestyle spar, your so-called boxing skills and my wimpy muay thai. And please no crying back to your mama for help cause I don't fight girls. You have the nerve to tell guys that i was avoiding you when you are the one who is actually avoiding me. My friend you're a certified internet toughie/geek. LOL!
Even the big baby july firehouse was hit deeply by my comments. Oh man, two confirmed immature guys on Cofield's boxing blogs! LMAO!

Big fight for boxing this weekend. Nutcracker. Not all Muay Thai fighters have square stances, and some of the best strikers in mma are Muay Thai based fighters. Funny how all (so called boxers) think they're the only ones that us side steps and head movement, and you have to get in past the kicks and knees of Muay Thai. If all you train is boxing then you better keep you're eyes on mid section ( don't want you to get you're head kicked off ). That being said I agree with Omega MMA BABY.

I only came over here because I knew Nutcracker would be over here talking his trash again. Boxers are one dimensional, good MMA fighters have multiple outlets. Thus a much better proven fighter than just a hard hitting boxer. That is real, thus realistic. Nutcracker please keep your ignorant self over here

It's funny you should say that before the fight even takes place. Congratulations, you have 2 of the last standing boxing stars squaring off. Congratulatories! It's ok to be scared because boxing is weathering out and MMA is growing. Let me know the next time Screetch from Saved By The Bell has another Celeberty Boxing match. I'd love to watch Dustin get pounding by Harvy from Celeberty Fit Club go at him. I'm sure some "fantastic" boxing promoter can make it happen.

Nice, I like how you tiptoed around that mangler instead of facing it. Those are no more than side shows than what you tried calling out. Just because someone takes an attempt at something doesn't mean that anyone takes them seriously. I never claimed it to be more popular world wide than boxing, and I was very clear not to say that. I also never said the sport of mma is above the sport of boxing. I strictly said, it's a declining sport, while mma is on the rise. Go watch your local news channel on the stocks and economy if you don't understand.
Addressing your second allegation. I don't agree with steroid use, and most true fans will not either. Worldwide it is frowned on*. That asterix is for the most part. Japanese culture is not the same as american incase you didn't know. They really don't care about the talent in a lot of those shows, including boxing. It's all about the character and persona in a lot of it. It allows them to become popular and rich there. Hence why a lot of mma thought kimbo would be better used over in japan because no one here in their right mind is going to pay to watch that bullshhhh. I may be an mma fan, but I like great fighters just as much as boxing fans like great boxers. Get it right and come with something legit.

Nutcracker I said if all you train.I didn't say you don't train it. and a straight right down the pipe when a kick is thrown is a counter for Muay Thai. Julyfirehorse needs some yoga to calm her ass down, no BS here. I don't ass-sume or sleep on anyone, Like everyone on the internet you guys are all champs, You don't know who you're talking to most of the time (you can be a 10 year old girl ).I was giving advise you don't like it don't use it.
