If Carl Froch can get 0.1% the admirers that fellow U.K. resident Susan Boyle got last week in the U.S., he'll have fought a fight for the ages against Jermain Taylor. This weekend's fight is his first chance to shine some mainstream light on himself outside of Europe. Most boxing fans know him as the guy who has been trashing Joe Calzaghe for not fighting him before he walked off into the sunset. A high profile guy like Taylor gives him the opportunity to show what kind of fighter he is.
The BBC followed Froch's trip to New York for the final press conference. Sadly lots of New Yorkers knew of the 47-year old singing sensation Boyle. Froch? Not so much.
Watch New Yorkers express love for the Scottish lass:
Not so much. Froch did talk some major league trash:
"Jermain seems very confident, talking about being back and No. 1, but make no mistake, this is my belt. I am the champion. I am undefeated. Only a few warriors have gone the distance with me. Everyone else hasn't been able to stay in there."
Taylor didn't seem very threatened as he chuckled at Froch.

go grab some ankles truth and call it being 'well rounded'. i call it soap on a rope. gays such as myself love grappling for all the wrong reasons. we all love to see sweaty, well muscled guys going for a full mount.. but when we want to see some real athletic ability, do we tune in to watch a plodder like liddell, or a ferrari like bhop, taylor, pacquiao, etc etc.. as for the fight at hand, taylor will knock this piece of euro trash back to mediocrity.
