Ricky Hatton visited Valley Hospital in Las Vegas after his brutal knockout at the hands of Manny Pacquiao. He was cleared and eventually headed to the MGM pool on Sunday morning (more pictures). TMZ has video of Hatton downing a few Guinnesses.
It was a rough night for his fiance Jennifer Dooley, who was distraught as "The Hitman" hit the canvas. Looking back on HBO's 24/7, Hatton sort of foreshadowed his demise when he talked about not allowing his son Campbell to come see the fight in person:
"I don't want Campbell to come and watch the boxing," Hatton said on 24/7. "You never can tell in a boxing ring what can happen. One punch and it could all be over for you. I wouldn't forgive myself if I said to Campbell 'you want to come watch the fight' and I got knocked out. I know how hard it was for me Mom and girlfriend when Floyd Jr. knocked me out. I wouldn't like it if my little eight-year-old champion sat there watching that."
Hatton is only 30 years old but has 47 fights under belt and likely banked $25-30 million for his six minutes of work on Saturday night.

You signed a 2 deal with Golden Boy Productions. You didn't read the fine print that said that the promoter could name your trainer. MayweatherSr. is assigned by Oscar. He's pissed. Hatton pissed.
2 rounds later and 12 hours. You and your girl are chillin' and telling everyone in England, the story above.

Why did they move Hatton when he was out on the canvas?? Rule number one is to immobilize the neck. They were twisting him on his side.. Knuckleheads..
I think Floyd Sr. might be hittin the pipe again . Old 'bad' habits die hard.

I think Hatton should have re-hired Billy Graham for this fight. Hatton had the boxing skills, talent, and the power that could have given him a chance to even the odds. He is a good fighter, a strong and aggressive pugilist. It’s not easy for a fighter to win 44 out of 45 fights. Billy Graham helped him to achieve all that. What Hatton lacked during the fight, which I think is crucial, was what Pacquiao had with him, a corner-man that could be fully trusted by a prize fighter. Instead, he had Mayweather Sr. This trust “thing” is intangible, especially in boxing, where fighters go to the ring to release graceful brutality and violence towards each other. When they are in the ring, against the ropes and getting the beat-down, a trusted corner-man’s voice could help bring confidence back to the fighter, and the will to fight some more, despite the punishments that they take. I know this because I saw Rocky IV when I was a kid, and some recent episodes of Totoy Bato today.
Pacquiao had Freddie Roach in his corner during the bout. They have been partners, like Frodo and Sam, for eight years now. According to HBO Sports, Hatton had had Billy Graham since he was 17. But he let him go not too long ago for Mayweather Sr, a loud, egoistic, and mediocre trainer who uses his fighters to boost his own popularity ratings. During the May 2nd fight, Hatton did not have that emotional support from his trusted former corner-man, Billy Graham. That’s why he listened to himself, and not to his corner who was undeserving of trust. And clearly, the audience and boxing fans did not see any noticeable changes in the way Hatton fought that night. Evidence that showed Mayweather Sr did not add any improvements in Hatton’s game.
Hatton knew what he had with him, a trainer who is only up for himself, a trainer with colossal control issues with his ego. He knew that the minute he gets into trouble Mayweather Sr would leave him high and dry. And sadly, that’s what happened; Mayweather Sr. is blaming Hatton for everything. According to Maxboxing.com, after Hatton’s brutal knock out, Mayweather Sr was seen signing autographs and joking with fans, while Hatton was preparing himself for a trip to the local hospital for a precautionary check-up. Obviously, Mayweather Sr did not fully commit himself to his boxer, or to the training itself. He was just out there to get a chance to be seen in HBO.
Some boxing critics say that Hatton lost the fight because he did not listen to Mayweather Sr’s instructions. It might be true. But more importantly, Hatton have lost faith on Mayweather Sr, in the weeks leading to the fight, because of the trainer’s unprofessional and shameful conduct during the training camp. Mayweather Sr’s behavior set Hatton up for defeat, because Hatton realized that he could not trust his trainer. He felt alone in the ring, without a corner-man, so he resorted back to his old boxing style.
It truly showed in the weeks leading to the fight, and to the fight night itself, that Mayweather Sr is not a great trainer as he claims himself to be. They say that “action speaks louder than words,” and Mayweather Sr’s actions clearly highlighted his inability to improve and train fighters. If Hatton had Billy Graham in his corner and not Mayweather Sr, then we could have seen a different fight, one that is not too lop-sided. That’s what trust and a good relationship with the trainer can do to a fighter. It can change him.
Imagine being a prize fighter and you are on the fight of your life, and you have someone in your corner you could not fully trust. You feel alone. The other fighter has his trainer shouting to death for instructions and support. That would have been so demoralizing, wouldn’t it? I think Hatton made a mistake of firing Billy Graham as his trainer. Mayweather Sr made Hatton look bad. And that change of trainers could have cost him the humiliating defeat.

If Hatton had won, it was because of Floyd Sr. Now that they lost, it was because of Hatton??
As Pacman suggested, Hatton could still continue fighting. Is this an invitation to join him, Amir Khan, and Roach as his new trainer?? Sounds like a good game plan.
