LeBron James' Team USA career might be over. But Nathaniel Mills' is available. A member of the United States Air Force, Mills was the star of the night at the USA Basketball Showcase Thursday at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. The Douglasville, Ga. native threw down a windmill dunk during a break in the action of the Team USA scrimmage — much to the delight of New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony — in full military gear. "You should see me without fatigues and without boots," the airman told reporters after his sweet slam. Here's a tweet from the NBA featuring an Instagram video of 'Melo's reaction:

New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis also had an impressive night. A reserve center for the men's national team that won an Olympic gold medal in London, Davis intercepted an alley-oop pass on the defensive end and drove coast-to-coast for a one-handed flush on the other. He finished with 22 points and seven rebounds. Kyrie Irving had 23 points as the White team beat the Blue team 128-106.
In NFL news, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan agreed to a 5-year, $103.75 million contract extension. The deal includes $59 million in guaranteed money.
And the Waffle House will have a presence at Turner Field. The iconic restaurant chain opens a concession stand for Atlanta Braves games starting Friday.
