Tayshaun Prince’s monster slam

Yahoo Sports Minute

Tayshaun Prince was a key piece of the Detroit Pistons team that beat the heavily-favored Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals back in 2004. Now a member of another underdog outfit, the 11-year NBA veteran is making a deep run in the postseason. And not only are he and Memphis Grizzlies defying the odds, the four-time member of the All-Defensive second team is defying gravity too. Prince's ability to throw it down was on display during Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals Wednesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Running a fast break with Mike Conley in the third quarter, Prince elevated for a one-handed flush. Three Thunder defenders (Thabo Sefolosha, Serge Ibaka and Reggie Jackson) tried to stop the former University of Kentucky star -- but they were no match. Prince's flush gave the Grizzlies their largest lead of the game at 60-46 and helped Memphis ultimately beat OKC 88-84 to earn the franchise's first trip to the Conference Finals.

Zack Greinke must be a quick healer. The Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher suffered a broken left clavicle on April 11 and was supposed to miss eight weeks. But the team's big free agent acquisition was back on the mound Wednesday night and helped L.A. beat Washington 3-1.

And the Chicago Blackhawks took down the Detroit Red Wings 4-1 in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semis.
