Suspended slugger Alex Rodriguez reportedly on LinkedIn

For those looking to network, LinkedIn has been a great resource. Created in December 2002 and launched in May 2003, the website has over 200 million users. And according to a report in Thursday's Wall Street Journal, one of them belongs to disgraced New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez. Suspended for the 2014 season due to his involvement in the Biogenesis scandal, A-Rod has a profile on the service. It's pretty generic — Rodriguez is listed as the "Founder, CEO and President of Arod Corp" and the profile is based in Miami Beach, Fla. But here's why it might legitimately be the 14-time All-Star and three-time American League MVP's profile: ARod Corp. is Rodriguez's official corporate entity. And Rodriguez did grow up in the area. Not to mention, he's likely done playing baseball. The guy is looking for work! More from the report:

A LinkedIn spokeswoman said the company has not been in touch with Rodriguez's camp to confirm it is an official page but said, "All signals indicate it is a real profile." Rodriguez's spokesman didn't respond to multiple requests for comment.

Be on the lookout for those pesky add requests.
