Pam Oliver’s Ohio State Marching Band run-in

Pam Oliver’s Ohio State Marching Band run-in

Who knew being a sideline reporter was a contact sport? Typically, it's not — unless you're Pam Oliver. Just last month, the longtime Fox Sports personality was hit in the head by a pass from Indianapolis Colts quarterback Chandler Harnish while covering a preseason game. It was later reported Oliver had suffered a concussion from the contact. Prior to Sunday's Green Bay Packers-Cincinnati Bengals game, Oliver had another on-field incident.

While doing a live hit during the Fox NFL Sunday pregame show, Oliver was nearly taken out by the Ohio State Marching Band. Thankfully, she avoided contact this time (although she had to dodge a trumpeter AND a trombonist). But the loud noises in close proximity probably weren't the best for someone who suffered a concussion recently. Maybe she needs to cover a Chicago Bears game. Charles "Peanut" Tillman would have her back.

Moving to baseball pennant races, the Atlanta Braves officially clinched the NL East thanks to the Miami Marlins' 4-2 victory over the Washington Nationals in the first game of a day-night doubleheader. The Braves truly celebrated after beating the Chicago Cubs 5-2. The Oakland A's also joined the postseason fun thanks to a walk-off grand slam by the Kansas City Royals' Justin Maxwell that beat the Texas Rangers midway through an 11-7 victory over the Minnesota Twins.

Finally, Henrik Stenson won the Tour Championship and the FedExCup (and the $10 million purse that goes along with it.)
