Mark Sheldon was simply doing his job. The Cincinnati Reds MLB.com beat reporter was toiling away in the Great American Ballpark press box, writing on the home team's eventual 8-3 victory over the San Francisco Giants. But in the top of the eighth inning, Sheldon became part of the story. That's when a Pablo Sandoval foul ball found its way into Sheldon's workspace and … well, the look on his face says it all.
The ball destroyed Sheldon's laptop.
Thankfully, the chagrined media member was able to borrow associate reporter Mandy Randhawa's laptop (he's the guy who handed Sheldon the ball) to finish his game story. Hopefully, IT can hook Sheldon up with a new computer before Wednesday's game.
Moving to soccer, Brazil superstar Neymar had a brilliant backheel assist to Hulk in a friendly against Panama. The World Cup hosts appeared in top form after the 4-0 result.

Finally, there was another example of men behaving badly at the French Open. Following her match, Svetlana Kuznetsova tossed a towel into the stands intended for a pair of teenagers. Instead, an adult male swiped it away from the youngsters.
