Morrisville State quarterback Lemar Johnson hurdles safety on way to go-ahead touchdown

Morrisville State College (formerly SUNY Morrisville) is a Divsion III school located within an hour of Syracuse, N.Y. Unlike its ACC neighbors, the Mustangs' athletic programs don't typically generate a lot of attention. But thanks to a play by senior quarterback Lemar Johnson against the Kean University Cougars on Saturday, Morrisville is now on the map.

Down 24-23 in the fourth quarter and facing a fourth-and-4 on Kean's 22-yard line, Johnson dropped back in the pocket and surveyed the field. Eyeing an opening in the right flat, Johnson took off. With nothing but a safety between him and the end zone at the 5-yard line, the 6-foot-1, 195-pound quarterback hurdled the defender and scored one of the more acrobatic touchdowns seen at any level. The Mustangs converted the ensuing two-point conversion and eventually won 37-31 thanks, in large part, to Johnson's heroics in the air (literally) and on the ground. He finished the afternoon going 26-of-38 passing for 302 yards and a pair of scoring strikes and 129 rushing yards, including that athletic trip to the end zone. The victory also improved Morrisville to a program-best 5-1 record.

And the play already has a nickname.
