Mike Trout fan interferes with Mike Trout

Yahoo Sports Minute

Steve Bartman is the poster child for fan interference in Major League history. The Chicago Cubs fan has been in seclusion for nearly ten years thanks to infamously impeding Moises Alou's opportunity to catch Luis Castillo's foul ball during Game 6 of the 2003 National League Championship Series between the Cubs and Florida Marlins. Many Cubs fans think the moment cost their team a chance to win - or at least advance - to the World Series. A certain Mike Trout fan found himself in a similar situation to Bartman Tuesday night while attending a game between the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Baltimore Orioles. But this time, there was a much different outcome.

The Angels were up 1-0 on the Orioles in the fourth with one out when J.J. Hardy popped a foul down the third-base line. Trout raced over to the stands and was met with an outstretched arm of a fan who just happened to be wearing a Mike Trout jersey. The fan dropped the ball (like Bartman) but was wearing a glove (unlike Bartman.) But get this: third base umpire Joe West ruled Hardy out because the fan leaned over on to the field of play to disrupt Trout's attempt to make a play on the ball. So, in a strange way, the fan actually helped Trout and the Angels! The fan, who was also decked out with an Angels cap and sitting amongst other L.A. fans, appeared to feel horrible about the move. The O's eventually beat the Angels 3-2.

Moving to Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Danny Green and Gary Neal combined to outscore the entire starting lineup of the Miami Heat 51-43 as the San Antonio Spurs blew out the defending champions 113-77.

And get this: new Houston Texans safety Ed Reed said that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady may have caused a hip injury the first-time Super Bowl champion has been dealing with. Brady kicked Reed during last seasons AFC Championship game.
