Miguel Cabrera tries to feed Brayan Pena a Fig Newton

Yahoo Sports Minute

Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera doesn't take a day off very often. Like teammate Prince Fielder, the reigning American League Most Valuable Player is usually in manager Jim Leyland's lineup every day. But after suffering an injury to his left hip flexor Monday night against the Chicago White Sox, Miggy did not play Tuesday. But he did play around with one teammate in particular.

During the bottom of the second inning in the contest against the Pale Hose (which the Tigers won 6-2), Cabrera was seated next to Brayan Pena. While watching the game, Miggy was handed a Fig Newton and tried to force feed the Detroit catcher the snack. Pena didn't bite — literally — but still had a good laugh about the moment.

Moving to a piece of video Chicago Bulls fans will love, Derrick Rose threw down a through-the-legs slam in Spain. One catch though: it was on an 8-foot rim.

And in college football news, Y! Sports' Charles Robinson reports that Ohio State running back Carlos Hyde is not expected to face charges stemming from an alleged assault at a Columbus nightclub. Surveillance footage shows the senior tailback did no strike the alleged victim.
