Marc-Andre Fleury makes incredible, no-look save on Daniel Alredsson in shootout attempt

Yahoo Sports Minute

Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has never won a Vezina Trophy, the award given to the NHL's best goalie. But a no-look save he made against Detroit Red Wings veteran Daniel Alfredsson in Wednesday's Wings-Pens tilt that preserved a 4-3 shootout victory was certainly impressive. "Players on the bench called it a (Dominik) Hasek-type save the way he put his glove out," Pens coach Dan Bylsma said. "I'm not sure I've seen a more acrobatic save from (Fleury)." The Pittsburgh netminder made 34 saves on the night — but the one that longtime hockey play-by-play man Mike "Doc" Emrik dubbed a "snow angel masterpiece" is the one that stood out. And it wasn't a complete loss for Detroit, as the Red Wings clinched a playoff berth for the 23rd straight season.

From his knees

Moving to baseball, plays like the one Atlanta Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons made in the second inning against the New York Mets are one of the reasons why he won a Gold Glove last season. Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud hit a grounder in the hole between second and third base that appeared to be headed to left field. But Simmons ranged to his right, slipped to his backside and launched a throw from his knees to first baseman Freddie Freeman that got d'Arnaud by a step.

Think pink

Finally in golf, Rory McIlroy's fiancée Caroline Wozniacki sported pink hair at the Masters Par 3 Contest. She also sunk a 30-foot putt on the ninth hole. As for her electric 'do, perhaps Wozniacki's tweet from last week offered an explanation.
