The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Los Angeles Lakers 122-105 Tuesday night to drop L.A. back a game below .500. And as Lakers star Kobe Bryant was leaving the floor in disgust, a fan did something they shouldn’t have.
An unidentified supporter swiped one of Bryant’s towels as he exited the court in defeat. It’s unlikely The Black Mamba even knew it happened. Maybe the fan just wanted a memento of their experience from the Chesapeake Energy Arena. But c’mon…you shouldn’t disrespect a 5-time NBA champ like that! The move was insult to injury…literally. Kobe left the game briefly in the first quarter with a right elbow issue. He returned to score a team-high 30 points. But Russell Westbrook had a game-high 37 as L.A. fell to a 1-11 record in road games against the top 8 teams in the Western Conference this season.
On the ice, Capitals right winger Eric Fehr scored an incredible overtime game-winner. Washington was down 3-0 to Boston after the first period but picked up the victory in OT thanks to the brilliant goal to beat the Bruins 4-3.
And when asked what Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton needs to improve on during a radio interview, Cincinnati offensive coordinator Jay Gruden bluntly stated, "Everything." Ouch.
