Kid throws back foul ball

What do you get when you cross a Victor Martinez foul ball and a magnanimous fan? Unintentional comedy at the ballpark, that's what. Here's the scene: with the Tigers well on their way to a 10-1 victory over the A's on Sunday afternoon, a Martinez foul found itself in the upper deck of O.co Coliseum. A friendly fan who came up with the souvenir in the stands proceeded to gift it to what appeared to be a father of two boys. The dad then handed the ball to the younger boy -- who promptly hurled it toward the field -- all while the dad was thanking the person who originally caught it! Once the kid realized what he had done, he was clearly upset. But not nearly as upset as the kid we think was his older brother.

Moving to the Masters, Adam Scott outdueled Angel Cabrera in a playoff at Augusta National to capture his first major and the first green jacket for Australia.

And playing their first game without Kobe Bryant, the Lakers got 26 points and 17 rebounds from Dwight Howard as L.A. beat San Antonio 91-86 to increase their lead to a 1 ½ over Utah for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
