Kevin Durant officially signs with Jay-Z’s agency

Some people scoffed at Jay-Z when he wanted to start a sports agency. But the hip-hop mogul found a pretty fast way to shut people up when he recently signed one of the biggest names in sports to his Roc Nation Sports agency. It was rumored last week after Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, became licensed to work as an NBA agent that he was going to sign Kevin Durant. And sure enough, Durant posted a photo to his Instagram Monday showing himself and Jay-Z signing a new contract together. Durant joins the New York Yankees' Robinson Cano and the New York Jets' Geno Smith as core members of the agency. It is unclear however when Jay-Z can personally negotiate on behalf of players, because owners of NBA teams cannot represent players and he still owns a share of the Brooklyn Nets.

In one of the most thrilling Stanley Cup Final games in history, the Chicago Blackhawks rallied from behind to beat the Boston Bruins in the final minutes of Game 6 on Monday. Bryan Bickell and Dave Bolland scored 17 seconds apart in the final 1:16 to give Chicago a 3-2 win, and the chance to hoist the Stanley Cup for the second time in four seasons. Patrick Kane was voted the Conn Smythe Trophy winner as playoffs MVP.
