Joe Flacco may have a Super Bowl ring and be nearing elite status as an NFL quarterback, but he still has a ways to go before he can be the perfect pitchman with a shoe deal and a soft drink ad. His recent commercial for 1st Mariner Bank in Baltimore is proof that he's no Tom Brady, but it sure is fun to watch. And if Flacco is going for a more dry, tongue-in-cheek, sense of humor approach like, say, the Spurs' Matt Bonner in his ads for baby carrots, then his 1st Mariner Bank commercial is going to need some work.
Tiger Woods, despite showing visible signs of back discomfort during his final round at The Barclays on Sunday, had a chance to force a playoff with Masters champion Adam Scott. But Woods' birdie putt on 18 came up a few inches short, and Scott claims the first leg in the four tournament hunt for the Fed Ex Cup.
