Foul ball at Padres-Braves game inspires sweet father-son moment

"My Father the Hero" is a 1994 film that starred a then-15-year-old Katherine Heigl and accomplished French actor Gérard Depardieu. But it may as well have been the title for a scene that unfolded during the eighth inning of Monday's game between the San Diego Padres and Atlanta Braves. The Braves ultimately won 2-0 — but thanks to a Freddie Freeman foul ball — we all won. Look at the scene in the Turner Field stands that followed.

Yes, there wasn't a ton of people for Super Dad to compete with for the souvenir. But that doesn't diminish the belated Father's Day moment.
