But Thursday night, Los Angeles Clippers big man DeAndre Jordan added another element to his repertoire: the rim-protecting rejection. Jordan's victim: Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook.
With OKC up 17-10 in the first quarter, Westbrook thought he had an easy layup. But that's when Jordan swooped in from out of nowhere to deny the three-time All-Star. The Thunder went on to beat the Clippers 105-91 — but Jordan will always have that block.

Saints march past Falcons
Moving to the NFL, the New Orleans Saints completed a season sweep of their NFC South rivals, the Atlanta Falcons, with a 17-13 victory. The Saints defense sacked Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan five times en route to the win.
Knights keep BCS hopes alive
Finally in college football, UCF is still in the mix for a potential at-large BCS bowl berth thanks to a 41-17 win over Rutgers. Blake Bortles threw for a touchdown and ran for another as the Knights won their sixth straight game following a three-point loss to South Carolina.
