Cristiano Ronaldo embarrasses Andres Fernandez

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has made plenty of goalies look bad during his career. But a free kick the recently crowned Ballon d'Or winner (the second time in Ronaldo's career he's been named the world's best player) converted against Osasuna keeper Andres Fernandez on Wednesday was simply unflattering. The strike came during the 22nd minute of a match between the Spanish clubs (which Madrid eventually won 2-0). It appeared Fernandez initially had stopped the attempt — only to have the ball dribble between his legs as if he was, well, how to put this mildly, indisposed. That's gonna be a tough one to live down.

Look out!

Kinda like the pass New York Knicks big man Amar'e Stoudemire intended for … Beno Udrih we guess. Instead of connecting with the reserve guard, Stoudemire's toss found the drink of a woman sitting courtside and knocked it over.

Hot in herre

Meanwhile, it's been so hot during the first week of the Australian Open, players are seeing Snoopy. The triple-digit temperatures inspired Ernests Gulbis to break his equipment and Jerzy Janowicz to go all Incredible Hulk after beating Pablo Andujar in the second round of scorching competition in Melbourne.
