Why Eddie Lacy's fantasy owners shouldn't panic after slow start

For those who sank a top-five pick in Green Bay’s Eddie Lacy, depression is beginning to set in. Fumbles, brick walls, even a safety – he’s run the gamut of loathsomeness thus far. Against a murderer’s row of run defenses (Seattle, New York Jets and Detroit), he managed just 3.1 yards per carry and failed to find the end zone. His resulting 5.0 fantasy points per game ranks No. 55 among rushers, one spot behind ‘legendary’ full back Kyle Juszczyk. Puke.

Despite his wretched start, the Packer Backer is a rusher worth buying on the bear. Green Bay faces Chicago, Minnesota and Miami over the next three weeks, a trio of exploitable run defenses. His fantasy playoff schedule is more favorable with matchups against Atlanta, Buffalo and Tampa. Traded for the likes of C.J. Spiller, Percy Harvin and Jay Cutler in recent one-for-one Yahoo deals, the discounted rusher is sure to bounce back in short order, possibly carrying owners to gridiron greatness.
