Week 13 has some big-names who could be big busts for fantasy owners

Only Denver's Demaryius Thomas has been better at the fantasy WR position than Bucs rookie Mike Evans since Week 4. In that span, the monolithic target has eight touchdowns in seven games, including six scores in his past four contests. But with many fantasy owners looking to clinch a playoff spot in Week 13, the final regular season weekend for a majority of leagues, backing Evans could prove costly. Despite scoring a TD at Chicago in Week 12, Evans caught just three passes for 47 yards, his lowest yardage total since Week 2. And this week he faces a Cincinnati defense that has allowed the fewest TD passes in the league (11) and second-fewest yards to the WR position (1,509). The Bengals have also allowed just five pass plays of 30-plus yards (NFL-low), another warning sign for Evans, who ranks third in the league with nine catches of 30-plus yards.

Atlanta's Julio Jones is another potential wide receiver pitfall in Week 13. While the Falcons Pro Bowl wideout finally found the end zone in Week 12 to break a seven-game scoreless streak, he finished with just 68 yards, marking the fifth time in the past six games that he has been held under 70 yards. In that span, Jones has caught just 32 of the 61 passes that Matt Ryan has thrown to him (52.5%). That tenuous connection could prove even more faulty on Sunday against an Arizona defense that has allowed the fewest fantasy points to wide receivers in the past month, and that includes holding name brand wideouts Dez Bryant and Calvin Johnson to an average of 6.7 fantasy points. It's always tough to sit a player with Jones' level of talent, but those owners blessed with a deep stable of quality wideouts might want to seriously consider it.
