Who you shouldn’t start in Week 2 fantasy football

Fantasy football, as most of you know, is a match-up game. If that weren't the case, we wouldn't bother to produce weekly player ranks. Occasionally we have to send a brand-name fantasy asset to the bench, due to quality-of-opponent worries.

So it is this week with Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger and Baltimore Ravens receiver Torrey Smith. Big Ben is coming off a lousy opening week performance and he's about to face a talented, angry Cincinnati Bengals' defense. Roethlisberger threw more interceptions than touchdown passes in two games against the Bengals last season (3 INTs, 2 TDs), and he was sacked seven times. Smith has only topped 50 receiving yards once in four career games against the Browns, and he'll likely see a bunch of corner Joe Haden in coverage. In a week without byes, you shouldn't have much trouble finding an alternative to Torrey.
