Tom Brady owners looking for a bye-week replacement could do a lot worse than Minnesota's Christian Ponder, available in more than 90 percent of Yahoo! Leagues and facing one of the softest pass defenses in the league on Thursday night – Washington allows the fifth-most passing yards (282.1). And, while the matchup looks good for Ponder through the air, Ponder's legs are what is powering his fantasy value. In his past three games, he's rushed for four touchdowns and an average of 38 rushing yards, production that running back Trent Richardson would kill for.
If owners are in need of a flex option and the waiver wire is thin, consider Washington receiver Leonard Hankerson, who is also more than 90 percent available. He is coming off a serviceable 5/55/0 performance, and he found the end zone in the game prior to that. But it's really all about Hankerson's upcoming Thursday night matchup against Minnesota that makes him worth a dice roll in Week 10. The Vikings allow 291.1 passing yards per game, many of them coming from the opposition's slot receivers. Minnesota's leaky coverage against slot receivers could prove beneficial for Hankerson, who has picked up about a third of his receiving yards this season out of the slot.
