Week 2 in the NFL saw three players suffer injuries that could change the fantasy landscape in the short and long term. Eddie Lacy, Drew BreesTony Romo and Jay Cutler all went down on Sunday, so now what do you do as a fantasy owner?

X-rays on Lacy's ankle came back negative but his status for Monday night's matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs remains unclear. That means James Starks should be one of the top waiver-wire adds for Week 3. Starks offers a multi-purpose skill set that will allow him to contribute in the running and passing game.

While Brees clearly didn't look right in a loss to the Bucs, there are reports he could miss multiple games due to a shoulder injury. If that's the case, Brandin Cooks or any other Saints receiver would obviously lose value with Luke McCown as the backup QB.

The ground game would likely become the focal point of the offense, but opposing defenses would also be more inclinded to play run first without Brees under center.

Romo suffered a broken collarbone and there's a chance he could miss the rest of the season if the Cowboys fall out of playoff contention by the time he's healthy. Without Romo until likely at least Thanksgiving, Jason Witten, Terrance Williams and the ground game all get a downgrade with medicore Brandon Weeden now the signal-caller in Dallas.

Cutler is reportedly out with a hamstring injury for at least two weeks, forcing the Bears to turn to Jimmy Clausen. This is not a pretty situation for Alshon Jeffery, who is also banged up, and Matt Forte, especially with the Seattle Seahawks on the schedule this week.

If you're attempting to replace an upper-tier QB in a deep league, here are some options to consider on the waiver wire in the coming weeks.

Monitor injury reports this week with Lacy, Brees and Cutler and adjust your lineups accordingly.
