Flex your muscles: Top fantasy flex plays for Week 3

If you're sweating out flex options in Week 3, Minnesota wideout Greg Jennings is a sneaky option. After catching just one pass for four yards in Week 2, many fantasy owners may be looking to cast him aside this week in favor of other options. That could be a mistake as Jennings heads to New Orleans to face a Saints secondary that has allowed nearly 245 yards per game to the WR position. Assuming that Drew Brees does his usual at home – lighting up the scoreboard – Jennings has serious garbage-time all-star potential. Jennings can currently be had in roughly half of Yahoo leagues but, as mentioned, he could become more available later in the week as owners cut him loose following his Week 2 dud. Take advantage of their lack of foresight.

Also, the Pittsburgh Steelers run defense has been Swiss cheese-like through two games of the '14 campaign. Running backs have lit up the Steelers for 327 yards on 58 carries, an average of over 5.6 yards per pop. Pittsburgh's defensive deficiencies versus the run cast Carolina running back Jonathan Stewart in a glowing light heading into Week 3. With platoon partner DeAngelo Williams dealing with a thigh injury that could lead to a second straight DNP on Sunday, Stewart may find himself back in a lead role in the Panthers backfield. Fantasy owners looking to Flex some muscle in Week 3 should seek out the Panthers back, who opened the week available in more than 80 percent of Yahoo leagues.
