With four teams on a bye this week, many fantasy owners are scouring the waiver wire for backend help for their Week 5 lineups. Arizona Cardinals' running back Andre Ellington and Tennessee Titans' wide receiver Kendall Wright are two players for those owners to target, especially in PPR leagues.
In Arizona, incumbent RB Rashard Mendenhall was admonished by head coach Bruce Arians for his sub-par play in Week 4. In less than half the amount of touches as Mendenahall this season, Ellington has nearly equaled Mendenhall's fantasy production. Don't be surprised if Ellington, who has three catches in each of his past two games and an average yards per carry mark above 6.0, pushes closer to an even platoon split with Mendenhall this week. He can be had in more than 80 percent of Yahoo leagues still.
For those looking for receiving assistance, Titans wideout Kendall Wright can be had in approximately 75 percent of Yahoo leagues. He ranks in the top 25 among WRs in targets over the past three weeks, and he's averaged six catches in that span. He faces a tough Chiefs secondary, but Kansas City has had some trouble with receivers in the slot, where Wright often operates. Last week, Victor Cruz went for 164 yards and a TD against KC, and Eagles slot WR Jason Avant had 87 yards and a TD against them the week before.
