It’s put up or shut up time, fanatics. With championship aspirations on the line, nervous owners across Fantasyland are facing difficult lineup dilemmas. My best piece of advice: Maximize the matchup. Here are three under-started commodities who’ll do exactly that in Week 14 and extend your season:
Ryan Fitzpatrick, Ten, QB – Most in the fantasy community are pogonophobes – they fear beards. It’s nutty to think Fitz is available in 90-percent of Yahoo leagues. He’s exceeded 20 fantasy points in four of his past six contests. Likely pressed into a high-volume situation against a Broncos D that’s allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to QBs, he should finish inside the top-10 once again.

Peyton Manning is an all-time QB enjoying the greatest single season in the history of his position, and many of you are thinking about benching him this week. At home. Because of cold.
Honestly, you guys are not worthy of Peyton Manning.
This myth about Manning falling apart in cold weather has more to do with win-loss record than with individual statistics, so it shouldn't be a fantasy concern. When Denver lost in the playoffs to Baltimore last year, 38-35 — with Manning throwing for 290 yards and three scores — was that about the frigid temperatures, or a blown coverage?
The conditions expected in Denver this Sunday involve snow and low temperatures, but not high winds — and high wind, for those who didn't know, is the weather event you should take seriously. Snow and cold are not the enemy. Peyton is not to be benched.

Just two weeks ago, Jacksonville RB Maurice Jones-Drew put forth his best fantasy effort of '13 against Houston, rolling for 144 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown. And while that stands out as his best performance of the year, he's been more than serviceable as a fantasy back over the past several weeks, ranking as a top 15 fantasy RB since Week 8. On the flip side, the Texans, who MJD faces on Thursday, have struggled of late to stop the opposition's running backs, allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to the position over the past three weeks. Given the recent success of MJD against his division rivals and Houston's inability of late to hold runners in check, MoJo has easy top 20 upside at the RB position this week.

Like most things in fantasy, the tight end position, outside mainstays Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham, is highly unpredictable on a week-in, week-out basis. Wild production swings are commonplace. Just ask Jordan Cameron owners. To help guide you into Round 2 of the second season, here are three tight ends you can count on in Week 14:
Ladarius Green, SD – The heir apparent to Antonio Gates is making his presence known. Over the past three weeks he’s accounted for nine receptions, 206 yards and two touchdowns. Earning the most PT of the season last week against Cincy (played on 61-of-67 snaps), he has become a fixture in a pass-happy San Diego offense.

Well, we're in it now. GAME ON. The most important weeks on the fantasy calendar have at last arrived. If you're still consuming fantasy content at this late date, then it's obviously been a successful season.
Today, we're discussing three players with friendly schedules in Weeks 14-16, all of whom are available in a fair number of Yahoo leagues. Jay Cutler, Michael Crabtree and BenJarvus Green-Ellis may yet help you claim a fantasy title.

Just in case you're looking for something extra to be thankful for on Turkey Day, we've got three flex-worthy options in the Thursday games...
Nate Burleson, Detroit - If you can't use 75-100 yards and 6-7 catches, fine. But you're watching fantasy videos, you probably can.
Rod Streater, Oakland - Rod has feasted over the past two weeks, delivering 177 yards and 11 catches. With Denarius Moore dinged, Streater is an obvious play against a miserable Dallas D.
Terrance Williams, Dallas - If you can find it in your heart to forgive his recent clunkers, please stick with him. He's an explosive player, tied to a great QB, playing plenty of snaps.

Mashed potatoes, stuffing, libations and, of course, a roasted bird – these are edibles people typically relish on Thanksgiving. However, no fantasy owner wants a 'turkey' on their team, especially with the fantasy playoff just one week away. To prevent unwanted heartburn, here are three players who could run afowl in Week 13:
Andrew Luck, Ind, QB – In the Colts' previous meeting with Tennessee just a couple weeks ago, Luck registered only fair numbers (232-0-31-1) against a stout Titans secondary. A similar output should be expected in the encore. Matt Schaub is the only passer to throw for two touchdowns against Alterraun Verner and Jason McCourty this year. Even stiffer of late, the duo has given up just two vertical strikes in their last seven games. Don't expect Luck to buck that trend.

Each week, the NFL gives us a handful of surprisingly useful individual performances, and fantasy owners are forced to sort the frauds from the stars. As we head into Thanksgiving week, with the fantasy playoffs in view, we now need to decide if guys like Tiquan Underwood, Carson Palmer and Benny Cunningham can possibly repeat their recent binges. All three finished near the top of the scoring leaderboard in Week 12; only one seems like a decent bet to do it again in Week 13.

Contrary to popular belief, fantasy is not a "What have you done for me lately?" game. Instead, we care only about what a player is likely to do tomorrow.
