If you're ready to hit the nightlife circuit in London, make a pit stop at any of the clubs, lounges, and bars that have become a popular choice for young royals. Prince William, Prince Harry, Princess Zara, and other royals have been known to frequent some of London's upscale clubs and lounges on occasion. Many of these hotspots are also a great place to run into celebrities.
Here are five places where you can party like a royal in London:
Reportedly one of Prince Harry's favorite clubs, Chinawhite is one of London's premier nightclubs catering to the well-heeled crowds. The discreet club even allows Prince Harry to leave through a back door to avoid the paparazzi after a night of partying. Clearly, it pays to be a royal! But, Chinawhite is also very popular with celebrities and is open from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. every day. It's located in London's West End and boasts luxurious furnishings and décor, entertainment by resident DJ Sam Young, and a lineup of creative cocktails.
This Polynesian-themed bar has been frequented by Prince William and Kate Middleton. ETOnline.com reports the couple ran up a bar bill of almost $17,000 on one of their visits, drinking their way through the menu - all on the house, of course. Mahiki is another well-known nightlife hotspot in London and has a more retro feel. The club hosts a themed night every Thursday and also attracts celebrities and A-listers like Nicole Scherzinger.
If you're looking for a place to dance the night away and enjoy a few cocktails with the beautiful crowds of London, head to this upscale nightclub - another of William and Kate's favorites. The signature cocktail made with champagne, vodka, and raspberry liqueur is one of the couples' favorite drinks, according to Entertainment Tonight's Royal Correspondent, Katie Nicholl.
Prince Harry and his cousins Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie did some pre-Christmas partying at this nightclub in December 2010 and have been known to head to this trendy nightclub on other occasions, as well. The club describes itself as "5,000 square feet of virgin industrial glam clubbing heaven" with a 10,000 square foot high-ceiling industrial basement, solid copper bars, and stone and marble floors. The club is only open on Thursdays through Saturdays from 10 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
Another popular destination for celebrity spotting, Raffles has played host to Prince Harry's clubbing activities on more than one occasion. Natalie Imbruglia praised Prince Harry for his dancing skills after his visit to this club in 2010. The members only club is located in Chelsea and boasts some of the best DJ's and acts in the world.
