NEW YORK – There aren't as many fans around the grounds as there were last week, so Roger Federer's Wednesday practice drew a far more manageable crowd. There were no stampedes of people trampling others to try to get seats.
Preparing to face the mercurial Gaël Monfils, Federer hit a LOT of serves. He was most definitely relaxed.
Here's what the end of the practice looked like. It turns out Federer's the kind of guy you want around your house, because he's just not going to leave a mess.
