You can understand why Maria Sharapova hasn't thought much about the logistics of her upcoming wedding to Los Angeles Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic. She's been engaged for less than a month, so she's taking time to bask in the glow of her quarter-million-dollar ring and enjoy the life of a fiancee rather than worrying about locations, guest lists, dates or wedding dresses. But, the Russian beauty has planned one thing: her shoes.
Sharapova told People Magazine on Monday that she plans to design her own shoes for the nuptials. The Russian beauty has a line with Cole Haan and will work with the design group to design a special pair of wedding shoes for the big day.
Speaking at the 14th annual ACE awards, Sharapova spoke of her excitement for the project. "I will for sure be wearing Cole Haan," she said. "I'm for sure going to design them."
And though she stands 6-foot-2, Sharapova hasn't ruled out wearing heels. "I'm just so used to always being tall," she has said of wearing high heels that can make her as tall as 6-foot-6. "Sometimes even when I'm in flats I'm taller than everyone else."
With her husband-to-be measuring in a 6-foot-7, that shouldn't be a problem at the wedding.
